Virginia Sweetspire’s range is mainly the southeastern United States.

Description

A clonal shrub, forming clumps from underground runners.

Where To Find

Grows on streambanks, around ponds and lakes, and in seeps, low hardwood forest, and swamps of the Coastal Plain. Absent from the Piedmont and mountainous areas.
