It remains uncertain whether this is a species distinct from Heuchera pubescens. Research into their relationship is ongoing. This species is currently unranked in Maryland. However, NatureServe considers the species globally imperiled (G2).

Description

To identify this species flowers are needed. It has relatively large, campanulate flowers (calyx 5.5-13 mm). It is most similar to Heuchera pubescens. Heuchera pubescens has green (or purple-green) petals while Heuchera alba has white petals.
