Limestone Bittercress is a rare mustard that is on the Maryland State Watchlist (S3). It is found in floodplains and rich woods.
Description
Limestone Bittercress can be differentiated from other Cardamine by having simple leaves, an erect and unbranching stature, pubescent stems, pubescent sepals that range from green to purple, and pink or lavender flowers. Most closely resembles Bulbous Toothwort which has glabrous stems, glabrous sepals which are always green, and pink or lavender flowers.
