Burgundy Bluet (Enallagma dubium) is a dark bluet of the southeast, near the northern edge of its range in Maryland. It generally inhabits sandy ponds with dense vegetation, or sometimes slow streams or edges of swamps (Lam, 2004). This species has been confirmed from three counties on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (Richard Orr's Dragonflies and Damselflies of Maryland and the District of Columbia). A Charles County record was added in July 2024. It is considered S1 (highly state rare).
