In addition, Jason D. Roberts (BugGuide, 2/15/2016) notes, "I have to add the small caveat that in just the last 1-2 years, identifying Pero specimens to species from photos has become quite murky, and without a physical examination or DNA, many, many IDs almost need an obligatory asterisk."
