There is one accepted record of Magnificent Frigatebird, an immature from Ocean City, Maryland (04/28/1980, #1996-022). Three additional records accepted as frigatebird species from Worcester Co., one from 4/30/1984 and two birds on 7/13/1996. These latter two were probably displaced by Hurricane Fran. Some other reports are probably valid, but documentation was not complete enough for formal acceptance. Additional storm-related records should be expected over time. Photographed here in San Juan, Puerto Rico (4/7/2009).
