Status

Maryland has one accepted record of this East Coast rarity (#1985-020). It was found by Fran Pope in Garrett Co., Maryland and documented from 5/18 to 5/20/1983. You can read about it here in this issue of Maryland Birdlife. A second documented record in April 2020 was unfortunate timing with the COVID-19 response.
