Status
Found solitary or groups on decaying hardwood.
Description
Cap: Brilliant orange-red, intense red over disc; smooth, slightly sticky when moist; prominent umbo when young, broadly convex when mature; margin incurved when young, fine splits in age; flesh light yellow. Gills: Whitish, finally becoming pale pink; crowded. Stalk: White/pale yellow, sometimes with orange-red toward base; striations running length of stalk.
