Found on wood chips or fallen leaves.

Description

Cap: Yellow-orange with lighter edge, conical with prominent umbo; pungent odor. Gills: Dark purplish / black at maturity with light edges; close. Stalk: Shades of yellow; tapers up; long buried root. (J. Solem, pers. comm.)
